thursday theatrics

last night you: got the niffer to buy pizza which you doctored up with tomatoes, green tabasco, onions, pineapple, oregano, and ninjastars; downloaded and installed the demo of burnout menu, the os x 10.3.7 update, and the css master guide on HellaPod (omg, i love hyperlinks on the ipod!); had the great pleasure of watching "bring it on" on city tv; started reading "glenn gould: the performer in the work" (again with all the cancon); isight chatted with jezbian; started using newsfire again; window shopped for digicams; went for another walk around the neighbourhood at 10pm (i've been doing this for the last few nights because i love walking in the snow and feeling the wind pummel my hood as i walk with HellaPod); drew a monkey; had a shower; got chewed out on mike matas' weblog by anonymous; thought a bit about working on the new HellaBoss site; did not do so; and slept with the most darling niffer.

i also downloaded david lanham's new somatic icon set from iconfactory and attempted to make a HellaBoss sparrow icon in lanham style. it was 40% successful.

hey moy! whazzzzup? last night the jeeper and i trekked through the blowing snow all the way to mostly mac (driving from aylmer to oxford and wonderland in after-work traffic bites the big one) and perused the displays. i started out looking at the iBooks, but the iMac drew me in like a moth to a very stylish flame. i almost have j.p convinced that we need one, but he doesn't trust the stand - he thinks it looks unstable.

do you know of any websites that remark on the stand and how secure it is? i think that stupid stand is the only thing stopping me from finally getting some osx-y goodness.

also - i followed the link to the guys blog, and wow people are assholes. just remember the greater internet fuckwad theory.

hey tracer - how's tricks? hopefully good. i know 3 people who've the new imacs. one guy is matthew from sacramento (posts here sommat), one is jez from, and the other is will from everyday software. both have 20" imacs and when i asked them about the stand, both said that it's hopelessly sturdy and have no problems with it at all. that's all i've got so far, but i trust their opinions 100%. they are both keeners and would certainly tell you if they were having any issues. those new imacs are pretty boss indeed.

that said, if anyone else who reads this blog has any comments re: their new imacs, drop a note or leave a comment! you may also want to check apple's discussion forums where people might post re: the stands too.

happy hols!
